Police issued a major update after revealing a woman had been sexually assaulted in Birmingham earlier this year.

The offence was committed against a staff member working at a pub in the Sheldon area of the city.

The victim was attacked while working at the venue in July, police said.

Now, police say they have made an arrest. A male was arrested for sexual assault in the Sheldon area today, November 30.

He was taken into custody where he awaits questioning. CCTV had reportedly aided officers in "identifying the offender", police said.
