The Baltimore Ravens are drastically underperforming expectations with basically the same roster they fielded last season (“ Ravens, Todd Monken waste Derrick Henry in Thanksgiving loss ,” Nov. 28). Could it be that age and injury have slowed the team down a step?
Lamar Jackson is not buying time with his feet quite like he used to. Derrick Henry isn’t bursting out of the backfield on a regular basis.
The defense is getting to opposing quarterbacks just after they release the ball. And elite receivers seem to be burning the secondary for long completions.
