With the holiday season in full swing, many people like to be more giving and charitable.
Some people volunteer their time at a community kitchen. Others donate food to pantries or help organize a food drive. However, one Chattanooga non-profit is asking people to keep them in mind this time of year, too.
"Even though we all get to enjoy our holiday, there is a great deal of people who are in the hospital. There are kids with cancer. There are sickle cell patients. There are people who are receiving blood transfusions, and, of course, you have accident victims who come in. All of them need blood donations in order to recover," said Brooke Katz, the Media Relations Coordinator for Blood Assurance.
