Alabama football might not have won Saturday’s Iron Bowl at Auburn without Conor Talty. After a shaky regular season, the Crimson Tide kicker was nails in Jordan-Hare Stadium, making a 45-yard kick to open the scoring and adding a 29-yarder later.

After the game, Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer praised Talty’s resiliency.

“I’m just really proud of him,” DeBoer said. “He’s been kicking really well in practice. I know that what matters is in the games, but that 45-yarder, I think it was right around that, the first one into a little breeze, man, that’s a hard kick, especially coming off of what I think most people would probably perceive as some rough outings. And so, man, I’m proud of the way the team supports him. I’m proud of the way that he’s responded.”
