Two former Scottish FA referees have slammed the 'inconsistency' of handball decisions after Celtic's Liam Scales was punished today.

The Irishman was penalised in the second half of his side's game against Hibernian when trying to clear a corner that came into the box.

Although referee Nick Walsh didn't initially point to the spot, after communication with VAR, a penalty was given.

Martin Boyle scored to get a goal back for Hibs, but it wasn't enough as Celtic emerged from Leith as 2-1 victors.

And speaking via 'The Ref's View' account on X, former officials Des Roache and Steve Conroy weighed in on the call.
