The Toronto Raptors will look to bounce back without their starting centre.

Jakob Poeltl will miss Sunday’s against the New York Knicks due to lower-back injury management, the Raptors announced.

The 30-year-old centre has been battling a lingering issue for nearly a month after leaving a game with tightness in his lower back on Oct. 27. Poeltl has played in 15 of the team’s 20 games.

He appeared in Saturday’s 118-108 loss against Charlotte, posting eight points, 11 rebounds and nine assists in 32 minutes.

For the season, Poeltl is averaging 10.5 points and 8.3 assists per game while shooting 72.8 per cent from the field.
