Viewers have once again been left concerned for US president Donald Trump , after he was caught “falling asleep” on live TV again. Trump was in a press conference with United States secretary of war – formerly defence – Pete Hegseth, who was busy laying out his intention for the National Guard as Trump blinked sleepily at him.

Hegseth said: “There’s no other way to create that kind of love and enthusiasm than with your leadership, sir, and it is an honour to work in the cities across the country to make sure American citizens and law enforcement are protected by our National Guard, that’s a core mission.”
