(FOX40.COM) —The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office has announced that the four victims fatally shot in a mass shooting in Stockton were ages 8, 9, 14 and 21.

The sheriff’s office said that people had gathered for a family event when the shooting occurred on the 1900 block of Lucile Avenue. Just before 6 p.m., 15 victims were struck in the shooting.

Sunday morning, Stockton Mayor Christina Fugazi confirmed with FOX40 that the shooting was gang-related.

"Let's call it what it is. This is domestic terrorism. This is gang violence and it has to stop in our city," Fugazi said.

Fugazi also added that President Donald Trump's advisors called her at 5 a.m. on Sunday to offer help and that she's asking the U.S. District Attorney to help find the suspect.
