It's a day that encourages people to do good and give back to their communities.

Many organizations depends on support from donors to help continue their mission.

That includes La Rabida Children's Hospital on the city's south side. The small but mighty hospital caters to children with lifelong medical conditions. More than 9,000 young patients receive care there each year.

Dr. Rolla Sweis, President & CEO of La Rabida Children's Hospital and the hospital's Annual Giving Manager, Mary Kruse, joined ABC7 Eyewitness News on Saturday to discuss how donations help the hospital.
