When it’s the Amsterdam girls’ basketball team as it approaches the 2025-26 season opener Monday, at home against Scotia-Glenville. The underclassmen still outnumber the upperclassmen 6-5, but there’s a lot of basketball knowledge and experience packed in those youngsters — highlighted by the fact that the two logical team captains, having the most varsity experience, are junior Elianna Tirado and sophomore Mia Natale.
