“We joke about losing hair a lot,” the friends said
Two high school friends in Georgia received cancer diagnoses months apart.
Sophomore student J.P. Thomas was diagnosed with Burkitt’s lymphoma, a rare and fast-growing cancer, a few months before his friend, Camilo Henao, was also diagnosed with cancer, the pair told Atlanta News First (ANF) .
Thomas initially went to the doctor because his knee was hurting, and he later learned he had cancer. “There were spots all over my body,” he told the outlet. “I had them on my skull, shoulders, arms, hip and legs.”
