Howie Roseman’s alma mater is hiring away one of the Philadelphia Eagles ’ executives.
Florida is finalizing a deal with Eagles executive Dave Caldwell as its general manager of football operations, according to a Sunday report from ESPN’s Jeff Darlington .
Caldwell, who spent five seasons with the Eagles during two Super Bowl runs, held the title of senior personnel director and advisor to the general manager.
Caldwell was previously the general manager of the Jacksonville Jaguars. He built the roster that reached the 2017 AFC Championship game. But the Jaguars went 37-86 overall under his guidance.
“(Florida) believes Caldwell’s understanding of cap management and new-aged scouting will translate well to the new college landscape,” Darlington wrote.
