HALIFAX - Nova Scotia RCMP have arrested and charged a Chapel Island man with multiple counts of child sexual abuse and exploitation.
Police say they responded to a report of a man attempting to gain access to a residence in the area in an attempt to see a youth who was inside.
Police say the man began an online relationship with the youth in September.
Police arrested 21-year-old Ethan Arnold Battiste at his home, and seized an electronic device.
Battiste has been charged with multiple offences, including three counts of sexual assault and making child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
RCMP say there could be additional victims, given the online nature of the charges, and encourage others to come forward.
