Andy Garcia has two different identities in Landman season 2, and the difference between Gallino and Dan Morrell could use some clarification. Andy Garcia made his first appearance as Gallino at the end of Landman season 1 , when he saved Tommy from the cartel leader Jimenez. It wasn't a straight rescue, though, as Gallino proved himself a villain when he informed Tommy that the cartel was going to strongarm its way into M-Tex and the oil business through Tommy.

Now, in Landman season 2, Gallino is making good on that promise. He's now funding Cooper's independent oil company and his plan to drill into "played out" wells, and he gave him a deal that was too good to be true.
