AMES, Iowa (KCRG) - A twenty match winning streak has come to an end.

Kevin Dresser and No. 6 Iowa State have finally beaten Tom Brands and No. 3 Iowa. The Cyclones bested Iowa in Sunday’s Cy-Hawk dual 20-14.

The dual came down to the final match. No. 2 Rocky Elam sealed the win with an 8-2 decision of Massoma Endede 8-2. It was ISU’s sixth match win.

The Cyclones got two major decision victories by No. 6 Anthony Echemendia at 141 and No. 3 Vinny Zerban at 157.

The drama-filled match was broadcast on ESPN, and came in front of the 10th largest crowd in Hilton Coliseum history, 12,292 fans, according to Iowa State Athletics.
