The Boston Red Sox already made one major addition to their starting rotation by trading for Sonny Gray. However, they could still look to upgrade the rotation.

Gray is a solid addition and could slot in right behind Garrett Crochet. Currently, the group behind Crochet is led by Gray and Brayan Bello. It is a solid trio for the Red Sox, but in a superstar-loaded American League East, there is no such thing as too many quality starters. On Thursday, Just Baseball’s Ryan Finkelstein predicted the Red Sox would sign Michael King to a three-year, $66 million deal with an opt-out after next season.

King was traded to the San Diego Padres in the deal that brought Juan Soto to the New York Yankees. The Padres allowed King to serve as a starter full-time, something the Yankees never let him do
