On Sunday, September 20, 1936, God placed a new light into the world when James T. Kyle Sr. and Cassie Davis Kyle, of Bedford, VA, welcomed their son, Frederick Malloy Kyle. For 89 years, 1 month, and 29 days, Frederick carried that God-given light with him – steady, humble, and quietly powerful.

Frederick began his early education at Bridge Street Elementary School. As a young child, stepping away from home felt overwhelming.
