Callander’s events committee is looking for assistance from council to investigate the feasibility of transferring some responsibilities of the committee to existing municipal staff roles.

The events committee is responsible for organizing the town’s largest events, namely FunFest, Cranberry Day, Callander Lights Up Christmas, and Callander’s Safe Halloween. The town’s Easter Egg Hunt and annual Pitch-In community cleanup event are also under the committee’s purview.

The committee is run by volunteers, but there are currently not enough people stepping forward to help.
