The latest AP Top 25 college football rankings drop Texas A&M from the top five, pushing both No. 3 Georgia and No. 4 Oregon up one spot.
No. 5 Texas Tech follows with its highest ranking since November 2008.
Nothing changed this week for No. 6 Mississippi, but the Aggies slipped four spots to No. 7 after blowing their perfect season to No. 14 Texas. The Longhorns’ win gave them a two-spot boost in the poll.
Meanwhile, No. 12 Miami and No. 13 Vanderbilt traded places in the rankings, despite Vanderbilt’s 21-point win over Tennessee on the road.
