Pitt volleyball has officially secured the No. 4 overall seed in the 2025 NCAA tournament, marking the third straight season the Panthers enter the postseason as a No. 1 seed. They previously earned the distinction in 2021, 2023 and 2024, all of which ended in Final Four appearances.
Dan Fisher’s squad will once again benefit from home-court advantage, as the Panthers are set to host through the first four rounds at Petersen Events Center, provided they continue advancing.
Pitt will open the tournament against UMBC on Friday, launching what could be a fifth straight Final Four run.
The path to a top seed wasn’t straightforward this time. Pitt’s losses to Miami and Stanford late in the season tightened the race at the top of the bracket, and the Panthers ultimately finished with a share
