Motorists are facing significant delays on the M1 following a late-night collision near Northampton. The crash occurred shortly after 11pm on Sunday evening (November 30), according to National Highways .

All southbound traffic has been brought to a standstill between J16 and J15A. Emergency services and traffic officers are currently at the scene dealing with the incident.

A spokesperson said: "Please allow extra travel time if in the area this evening.", reports The Mirror.
