Although he said it was impossible to give an exact timeline, athletic director David Harris said Sunday Tulane would move as quickly as possible to find a replacement for football coach Jon Sumrall.

The Green Wave will work with CSA Search and Consulting firm to help identify the best candidates—the same group it used when hiring Sumrall, Harris, women’s basketball coach Ashley Langford and the one that helped Northern Iowa hire Harris before he moved to Tulane. Athletic department chief operating officer Justin Schemmel and Tulane chief operating officer Patrick Norton will assist in the search.
