The Athletic’s Dan Woike shared the latest update on the Lakers’ injury front: “No LeBron James, Marcus Smart tonight for the Lakers against New Orleans. Lakers have a back-to-back and play Suns on Monday.”

LeBron James sits out against the Pelicans, still managing lingering left foot issues from last season. The Lakers are cautious with him, especially during back-to-back games.

Marcus Smart has been sidelined with back spasms. He also missed the game vs. the Dallas for the same reason.
