Buffalo Bills running back James Cook is a man of few words. That carries over to texting as well, apparently, but Cook was able to get an important message to Alec Anderson and Ryan Van Demark ahead of the Bills’ matchup on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Anderson and Van Demark, starting in place of star tackles Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown, were going to be tasked with slowing down T.J. Watt and a fierce Steelers defensive line. With quite the challenge ahead of them, Cook wanted to let the reserve linemen know that he believed in them.
Following the Bills’ 26-7 win over the Steelers, Cook shared the message he had for the linemen.
“I texted those guys, both of them, today when I woke up. Just told them, I trust in them and believe in them. Just, let’s go and get a win.”
