BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - As Black Friday has come and gone, the question now stands. How has business faired locally?

Shoppers turned out across America, including at Edgewater Mall in Biloxi, looking for bargains for the holidays.

“Shopping local just keeps it here in the community, gets you connected with the people that own the businesses around here and you get to build deeper connections with the community through this establishment,” shopper Josh Dittmann said.

According to store owners, while shoppers made their purchases later in the day rather than the traditional early morning, Black Friday still proved to be strong.

“We got slammed. So, very very pleased,” Puzzles USA owner David Murray said. “And, it bled into Saturday. So, really no complaints just that it started off slow.”
