SHREVEPORT, La. – The 41st annual toy drive, known as “operation Santa Claus,” kicks off on Monday.
The toy drive is a long-standing collaboration between the Shreveport fire and police departments and Townsquare media. The mission of Operation Santa Claus is to bring smiles to local underprivileged children by providing new toys in time for Christmas.
The toy drive will run through Dec. 15, with toy deliveries scheduled for Dec. 17-19. Deliveries will be made by Shreveport firefighters and police officers.
The community can participate by donating toys or money.
Donations can be made at Townsquare Media located at 6341 Westport Ave., or any Bonvenu Bank location in Shreveport and Bossier City. Checks can be made payable to Operation Santa Claus.
