In his final regular season game, Sawyer Racanelli came through with a career-best performance.

A redshirt senior from Hockinson, Racanelli caught seven passes for a career-high 123 yards in Wake Forest’s 49-32 loss to Duke on Saturday.

Racanelli also hauled in a 22-yard touchdown, his first TD catch of the season.

Racanelli’s previous career high in receiving yards came last season at Montana, when he racked up 102 yards on just four catches against Montana.

This season, Racanelli has appeared in all 12 games as Wake Forest has gone 8-4. The Demon Deacons are now awaiting a bowl berth with a chance to win nine games for just the fourth time in program history.

Having recently ascended to a starting role, Racanelli finishes the regular season with 17 catches for 290 yards.
