Labour MP and former minister Tulip Siddiq has been sentenced to two years in prison in Bangladesh over a corruption case involving a government land project.
Her aunt and the country’s ousted prime minister, Sheikh Hasina, was sentenced to five years in prison, and her mother, Sheikh Rehana, was given seven years, being considered the prime participant in the case.
Siddiq, who serves as the Member for Hampstead and Highgate in London, has denied the allegations. New Feature
