A millionaire has been blasted for turning their £44.5million house into a "prisoner of war camp". An electric fence was installed around the huge pad without planning permission, it has been reported, with the intention of keeping foxes out of their garden. Neighbours have accused the couple of "fortifying their home", also arguing that the alterations are causing a "public safety risk".

The property is believed to be by far the most expensive on the street. According to retrospective planning documents, Mr Walsh - the founder of underwriting firm CFC and worth an estimated £2.5billion – claimed the barrier is "intended for fox prevention purposes". A warning sign is currently attached, which suggests the equipment is designed to keep pigs, horses, sheep, cows and deer in enclosure
