LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Our pattern has certainly flipped as we are dealing with almost a winter like day as temperatures remain chilly with off and on rain.
You’ll definitely want to grab the rain jacket and umbrella as you head out the door this morning as rounds of showers and downpours move in.
High temperatures will be back into the lower 50s with a decent northerly wind to help drive in the cooler air.
Rain totals will vary across the region, but this will be a good soaking rainfall for all of Southwest Louisiana.
Most locations will pick up 1-2 inches along and south of I-10, with areas to the north closer to 1/2-1 inch.
We’ll begin to dry out as we head through the overnight and into Tuesday morning, which will allow temperatures to cool into the upper 30s to near 40.
