FAYETTEVILLE -- Freshman linebacker JJ Shelton and redshirt senior cornerback Kani Walker registered their first career sacks in a 31-17 loss to Missouri on Saturday at Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
The hit by Shelton happened with 8:01 left in the first quarter, while Walker rushed Missouri quarterback Beau Pribula with 3:23 left in the third.
On third-and-7, Pribula had ample time in the pocket and took off without an open receiver. Shelton tracked him down for an open-field tackle behind the line of scrimmage to force a Missouri punt.
Walker, on the other hand, didn't give Pribula time to escape. On third-and-15, with Missouri ahead 20-17, the cornerback wrapped around the edge to Pribula's blindside and took him down from behind. Shelton also ripped through Missouri's defensive line t
