The second thought that came to mind upon hearing of the Trump-brokered ceasefire between Israel and Hamas was that the joy was premature, because I didn't believe the terrorists would ultimately honor it.
The first thought, though, was that Ukraine was about to be in serious trouble--that the praise Trump received for forging a fragile peace in the Middle East would whet his appetite for attention and encourage him to force Ukraine's surrender to Russia, something he has been itching to do since he re-occupied the Oval Office.
Trump was going to betray Ukraine to feed his ego and become the "peacemaker," perhaps even as part of his unseemly thirst for a Nobel Peace Prize (however devalued the thing has now become).
