DES MOINES, Iowa —

Light snow returns to parts of the state today, mainly to the south of I-80. Light accumulations are possible with cold air remaining in place. A slight warm up Tuesday and Wednesday before more arctic air pushes in later this week.

Temperatures are in the teens this morning across most of the state, clouds overnight kept temperatures from falling too much thankfully. Light snow is developing in Nebraska and Kansas, and that will try to spread into Iowa later today. It should reach southwest Iowa by 6 to 8am, and central Iowa, including the Des Moines metro, by 8 to 10am.
