Disney put Zootopia 2 out in theaters before Thanksgiving weekend and shocker, it conquered the holiday in less than a week.
Per the Hollywood Reporter , the animated sequel has made $556 million worldwide in the five-day period. Already, it’s broken some records like being the biggest-ever worldwide start for an animated film and the fourth-best start for any Hollywood flick ever made. Of that take, $400 million came from overseas, largely thanks to China. There, the $272 million haul made it the biggest animated opening ever in the territory and China’s second-biggest launch since Avengers: Endgame in 2019.
