Rangers have confirmed Jonathan Hunter-Barrett will not be joining as academy director.
The Rangers Review revealed this morning the deal to bring Wolves' academy manager to Glasgow, set up when Kevin Thelwell was still sporting director, was off, The pair had worked closely together at the English Premier League club.
Following Thelwell's sacking along with former CEO Patrick Stewart last week, it has been mutually agreed to cancel Hunter-Barrett's move. He will now become academy director at Wolves.
Rangers have now confirmed our story and thanked the 35-year-old for engaging in a "constructive and professional manner." The club will now push on with finding the correct appointment to enhance the academy structure.
