Flooding and mudslides left widespread damage across Sri Lanka as rescue teams worked to evacuate residents and wildlife Monday.
The death toll in Sri Lanka has risen to 334, with 370 others still missing, authorities said.
Nearly 148,000 people are housed in temporary shelters after being battered in the past week downpours that flooded homes, fields and roads and triggered landslides, primarily in the tea-growing central hill country.
