Aaron Rodgers didn’t have his best game in Pittsburgh’s 26-7 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. And the Steelers quarterback pointed to one play that involved Jonnu Smith as part of the team’s Week 13 shortcomings.
“Jonnu and I just weren’t on the same page,” Rodgers told reporters after the game . “I checked to his in-breaker, and he ran an out-breaker. Jonnu is a true professional, so I’m sure he’s sick about that.”
Rodgers tried to find Smith in the end zone in the fourth quarter. But because the former New England Patriots tight end ran the wrong route, Rodgers’ pass was incomplete.
The 41-year-old didn’t place all the blame on his receivers. On third-and-4 in the first quarter, Rodgers attempted to find Roman Wilson, but he overthrew the ball.
