The gymnastics season is in the books. The postseason gave teams and individual gymnasts another chance to put up big scores during the most important time of the year.

Middletown South’s Ava Trezza turned in a historic performance during the State Individual Championships. This includes breaking the meet record on the way to gold with a score of 9.85, which was also the highest in the state this season.

A total of five gymnasts tied for the second-highest score including Luciana Panaccione of Red Bank Catholic and St. John Vianney’s Sierra Vaz.
