CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The clock is ticking for Cleveland City Council to vote on a $100 million deal regarding the lease at Huntington Bank Field.

City Council’s Committee of the Whole is scheduled to meet Monday and take a vote.

If passed out of committee, all city councilmembers are expected to vote later Monday.

The multi-million dollar agreement between Cleveland and Haslam Sports Group (HSG) was announced back in October.

A court-granted extension is giving the parties until Dec. 31 to finalize specifics — about a month longer than the original date of Monday, Dec. 1.

The deal allows the Cleveland Browns to leave downtown and build a new domed stadium in Brook Park.
