KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Drivers on Alcoa Highway should expect rolling roadblocks and flagging as the Tennessee Department of Transportation continues construction along the well-traveled route.

The department said Monday morning that crews would be conducting rolling roadblocks between Woodson Drive and Cherokee Trail through Friday Dec. 5. Those roadblocks will happen between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., according to TDOT, for about 20 minutes each, with breaks for regular traffic.

On top of that, TDOT also said crews would be flagging on the ramp from Alcoa Highway Northbound at the Cherokee Trail traffic signal and along Cherokee Trail between the Alcoa Highway interchange and Medical Center Way. That flagging is also slated from Monday, Dec. 1 to Friday, Dec. 5, also from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
