MONDAY AM: Disney’s Zootopia 2 wound up being an even bigger animal over the Thanksgiving stretch than imagined. We hear this AM that the 5-day has soared to $158M after a better-than-expected Sunday of $24.5M , -32% off the second-best Saturday over Thanksgiving which was $35.8M. As we mentioned, that’s a similar percentile hold that Moana 2 had last year between its Saturday and Sunday. Updated 3-day is $98.8M . Global update is $559.5M .

As we digest the rags-to-riches nature of moviegoing, and how prime the Thanksgiving and year-end holidays are, it constantly boils down to the type of movies that are playing on the marquee.
