Hours after launching a new platform designed to expose what it labeled “media bias,” the White House found itself scrambling to clean up its own errors—pulling the site offline, scrubbing mistakes, and provoking a fresh wave of scrutiny that undercut the very message it hoped to deliver.

The page, promoted across official government channels as a tool for confronting “fake news,” debuted Friday with fatuous claims that sought to discredit reports in the mainstream media—highlighted by a list of “fake news offenses.”

“Tired of the Fake News? We’ve got the place for you,” the White House posted on X. “Get the FACTS. Track the worst offenders. See the Fake News EXPOSED.”
