JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - Gas prices in Arkansas dropped more than 9 cents last week, giving drivers additional savings during the holiday season.
According to GasBuddy’s survey of 1,826 Arkansas stations, the average price of regular unleaded gasoline fell 9.2 cents a gallon last week to an average of $2.53 a gallon.
State prices are 2.8 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and 6.1 cents cheaper than a year ago.
The national average of gasoline fell 8.5 cents a gallon last week to $2.95 per gallon. That’s the lowest level since May of 2021, according to Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
