Teen surprised by cougar "attack," saved wild animal pet in 1982

Mountain lions are adorable, but unfortunately, they can’t come home with us like cats can. Usually.

In 1982, King Tut the mountain lion escaped his home and ran for the hills. A lucky teen found the cougar, and was given a $500 reward for the trouble.

King Tut was pretty nice by mountain lion standards. The cougar was returned to his owner, but only after tearing up reporter Andrea Coudriet’s microphone.
