The 2026 eagle tour lottery is open.
Through 11:59 p.m. Dec. 13, the public can sign up for a chance to win a coveted spot on the Saturday, Jan. 24 tour near DTE Energy ’s Monroe Power Plant on East Front Street. The coal-fired plant is set to be retired in 2032.
According to the Detroit Free Press , more than 600 people applied for 60 spots on the 2025 tour. Tours run more than two hours and also include an educational talk and displays.
