TOWSON, Md. —
Baltimore County's first inspector general, who survived an attempt to replace her, is leaving her position.
Kelly Madigan has served as the county's inspector general since 2020. She's now leaving at the start of the new year to move to Howard County.
The Howard County Inspector General Advisory Board released a statement soon after Madigan's letter was released, saying Madigan will be tasked with setting up the newly formed Office of the Inspector General to provide increased oversight into county operations, and to investigate any claims of fraud, waste and abuse in Howard County government.
