Eddie Jones: Wales have much bigger problems than Etzebeth

Japan head coach Eddie Jones has downplayed Eben Etzebeth’s apparent eye gouge on Wales flanker Alex Mann, describing it as “quite a minor incident” compared to the wider issues he believes are now holding Welsh rugby back.

Wales, stripped of all overseas players due to the match falling outside the Test window, suffered a record 73-0 defeat to the world champions at the Principality Stadium on Saturday. With Steve Tandy forced to field one of the most inexperienced squads seen at Test level, the gulf in class was exposed in every facet of the game.
