One of the biggest trials in NASCAR history is set to begin as the calendar rolls over to December. On Monday, December 1, 2025, the antitrust trial between NASCAR, 23XI Racing, and Front Row Motorsports will officially be underway. The highly anticipated trial is scheduled for 10 days.
The future of NASCAR could drastically change depending on the verdict of this trial. If NASCAR wins and no settlement is reached, 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports would presumably have to race as open teams and likely shut down in the near future due to the financial constraints of not having a charter.
If 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports win, there would be a wide range of options, such as NASCAR selling the tracks, establishing a permanent charter system, ditching the charter system and NextGen car, and so much more. The next 10 days might be the most important in NASCAR history, as the sport could be on the verge of unprecedented changes.
