Catherine Szpindor, the chief administrative officer for the House since 2021, will step down from her post at the end of this year.
Szpindor’s resignation was read during a pro forma session on Tuesday. She will be replaced on an interim basis by Deputy Chief Administrative Officer Anne Binsted.
“It has been a great pleasure to serve this institution and lead an organization that is dedicated to serving the members,” Szpindor wrote in a statement that was read from the House floor.
The CAO is a nonpartisan House office tasked with providing day-to-day technical, administrative and operational support to member offices.
