BUENA VISTA TWP, MI — A Saginaw man is recovering from more than a dozen gunshot wounds he suffered on Thanksgiving Day.

About 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 27, a civilian called 911 to report hearing 90 to 100 gunshots near the intersection of East Washington Road and North 25th Street in Buena Vista Township, according to Buena Vista Township Police Detective Russ Pahssen.

Police and paramedics arrived on the scene to find a 36-year-old man bleeding from 13 wounds, Pahssen said. The wounded man was still conscious and told police he had walked from his home on Saginaw’s North Side to Top Cannabis Outlet, 3375 East Washington Road.

He was walking back home along Washington when he saw an idling vehicle near 25th Street, he told police. Several occupants of the vehicle opened fire on him
